In anticipation of the school board’s decision to make Lyndale the community school for F2/D5, several families enrolled their children their this year. Due to their late registration, most are still awaiting bus assignments… Scott Bordon’s answer: “The Walking Bus”.
On the first day of school, kids, parents, and grandparents, climbed aboard “The Walking Bus” which left from the Bordon’s driveway shortly after 8:00 a.m. Led by Bordon who carried a “Lyndale School Walking Bus” sign, the bus held a mixture of people walking, rolling, and getting piggy back rides. They even made a few stops along the way to pick up more passengers.
Bus improvements may involve orange walking bus t-shirts, a lighted helmet for Bordon, and a string for the children to hold onto when the bus turns sharp corners, climbs steep hills, or makes sudden stops.
If you are interested in a fun ride, catch the “Walking Bus”.
